Cagua Minjaraz charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cagua Minjaraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, UD Tutaguana's Cagua Minjaraz got a free kick in the 20th minute. Veto Criales could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Gustavo Aledo made a huge save. 23 minutes into the game, Vergaray Guezmes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Tutaguana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.D. AZULES the free kick. When S.D. Udalaitz Otal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan-Alfredo Labra having to make a save. S.D. AZULES's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Veto Criales scored to the left of an out of position Gustavo Aledo, making the score, 1-0. Oswaldo Gao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Juan-Alfredo Labra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Baron lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 47 minutes, UD Tutaguana's Tonio Urive got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gustavo Aledo. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gustavo Aledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veto Criales in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to S.D. AZULES getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Zarando Loredo hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, UD Tutaguana's Veto Criales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Aledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gustavo Aledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Tutaguana. Veto Criales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
