In the 11th minute, one of UD Tutaguana:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UD Tutaguana. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Valdez S.C.. Rodas Abeitia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan-Alfredo Labra. 1-0. UD Tutaguana's Juan-Alfredo Labra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save UD Tutaguana from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute, Xayveon Mariny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valdez S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 24 minutes, Marlon Gallinal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Tutaguana and the Valdez S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, UD Tutaguana's Marlon Gallinal got a free kick in the 24th minute. Franklin Tagle hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Veto Criales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Celada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Celada in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trivniño Castellano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th match minute, UD Tutaguana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Celada to maneuver through the defense. When UD Tutaguana's Veto Criales in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valdez S.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute, Veto Criales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Celada to make the kick off. Franco Aostri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan-Alfredo Labra having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Veto Criales notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Valdez S.C.'s Trivniño Castellano. Trivniño Castellano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trivniño Castellano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Celada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute of the match, Mauricio Celada tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Trivniño Castellano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Veto Criales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan-Alfredo Labra came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Valdez S.C.'s Franco Aostri. But to his dismay, Franco Aostri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Juan-Alfredo Labra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Aostri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Franco Aostri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan-Alfredo Labra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valdez S.C.'s goalkeeper Trivniño Castellano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustavo Lezana's late challenge caught a UD Tutaguana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Lezana helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Lezana kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
