In the 3rd minute, Leonardo Zumaya made a precise shot to the right of Alonzo Inclan. Puyango's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Valentine Giraldez scored 0-2 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonzo Inclan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Valentine Giraldez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Inclan was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Valentine Giraldez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Inclan having to interfere. When Ficoa FC's Valentine Giraldez in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puyango's goalie prevented a goal. In the 24th minute of the match Ficoa FC got a corner. Puyango's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cezar Buznea ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ficoa FC's Cezar Buznea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alonzo Inclan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Valentine Giraldez struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Alonzo Inclan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ficoa FC. Alonzo Inclan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentine Giraldez in the 29th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Monge Mendiola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puyango's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ficoa FC the free kick. In the 29th minute, Monge Mendiola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Loarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yánez Boñar having to interfere. Ficoa FC's Valentine Giraldez got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Poroso Atienza's late challenge caught a Puyango's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Poroso Atienza helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ficoa FC's Poroso Atienza got a free kick in the 37th minute. Espinola Mateos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Ficoa FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Burbano Rujido hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Puyango's goal looked a bit too open when Valentine Giraldez came free, but Alonzo Inclan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentine Giraldez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alonzo Inclan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cezar Buznea, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Valentine Giraldez could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Alonzo Inclan however easily saved by the left post. Alonzo Inclan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Buznea in the 58th minute of play. If Valentine Giraldez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Carcamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monge Mendiola hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Valentine Giraldez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Valentine Giraldez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alonzo Inclan having to make a save. Ficoa FC's Valentine Giraldez got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 minutes of play Puyango's Monge Mendiola was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Ficoa FC booed when Puyango was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monge Mendiola didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Loarte during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 minutes of play Puyango's Abel Loarte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Abel Loarte kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Puyango fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ficoa FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
