Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Johnny Carmona made the kick off which started today's match. In the 6th minute Johnny Carmona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Inclan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitor Cantos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Inclan having to interfere. If Johnny Carmona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Palacios Campderros's late challenge caught a Puyango's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Palacios Campderros helped the player get up and apologised. Augusto Seiro came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Puyango's Abel Loarte. But to his dismay, Abel Loarte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Candelario Utrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Seiro having to interfere. A collision led to Puyango getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Monge Mendiola hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, Puyango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Loarte to maneuver through the defense. Abel Loarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Abel Loarte made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Peñarol S.C.'s Emilio Villaelrriego got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Candelario Utrera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Augusto Seiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. During the 57th minute of the match Palacios Campderros completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Palacios Campderros a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Candelario Utrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Puyango booed when Peñarol S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Villaelrriego didn't get a good kick on the ball. Candelario Utrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Vitor Cantos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peñarol S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitor Cantos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Monge Mendiola fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puyango's protests and gave Monge Mendiola a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Puyango getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Monge Mendiola hit a great ball. Alonzo Inclan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Peñarol S.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Puyango had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
