Kaviedes Llibre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With a little luck, Aucas's Kaviedes Llibre got control of the ball when Marin Mascire tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Aucas getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rios Mendibuey hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes Aucas got a freekick which was hit by Rios Mendibuey. In the 12th match minute, Aucas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rios Mendibuey to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Aucas's goalkeeper Kaviedes Llibre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marin Mascire. If Yánez Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes CD Pocaguso got a freekick which was hit by Zigor Arichaga. In the 19th minute, Zigor Arichaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in CD Pocaguso's zone, Yánez Lorenz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Baptista came out of the goal and Yánez Lorenz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, CD Pocaguso's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Lomba came free, but Americo Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Esteban Lomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Americo Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yánez Lorenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yánez Lorenz made a kick off. Marcelo Villamizar tried in the 52nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Americo Baptista a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-1. Urbano Pardaves's late challenge caught a Aucas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbano Pardaves helped the player get up and apologised. If Esteban Lomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute of the match Ruperto Guia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Americo Baptista showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. CD Pocaguso's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Yánez Lorenz scored to the left of an out of position Americo Baptista, making the score, 0-2. Zacarias Caldevila hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Ruperto Guia kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Aucas's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Viana came free, but Kaviedes Llibre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CD Pocaguso's Fiallos Galera suffered a sore thigh after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 73 minutes into the game, Rios Mendibuey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aucas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Pocaguso the free kick. Yánez Lorenz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CD Pocaguso's Americo Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Lomba in the 90th minute of play. If Yánez Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in CD Pocaguso's zone, Esteban Lomba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Baptista came out of the goal and Esteban Lomba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
