Esterilla Meruelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yépez Doles kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Juan-Pablo Alcubierre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuguduaja's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan-Pablo Alcubierre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Bacon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in NIKODEMO FC's zone, Juan-Pablo Alcubierre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Bacon came out of the goal and Juan-Pablo Alcubierre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes of play, Tuguduaja's Juan-Pablo Alcubierre made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Bacon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute, Paulo Velaostegui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan-Pablo Alcubierre made a kick off. Ulizes Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esterilla Meruelo having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, NIKODEMO FC's Paulo Velaostegui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esterilla Meruelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, Tuguduaja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uhin Rebolloso to maneuver through the defense. Tuguduaja's Camilo Galantia got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Velaostegui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Esterilla Meruelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Camilo Galantia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Bacon having to make a save. In the 88th minute, Camilo Galantia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tuguduaja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Tuguduaja supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tuguduaja would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
