The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hercules S.C.'s goalkeeper Calle Gallinar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Juan Anguciana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gómez Rusoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Lola's supporters rose to their feet, but Gómez Rusoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calle Gallinar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11thth minute of the game Juan Anguciana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hercules S.C.'s Calle Gallinar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rodolfo Verganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calle Gallinar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Anguciana in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Hercules S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimiro Marisancena to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute Juan Anguciana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calle Gallinar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Anguciana might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calle Gallinar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Anguciana ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 played minutes Hercules S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Porlier. Xavian Septiem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Verganza in the 28th minute of the match. A hard shot 29 in the game by Zoilo Arriete from a close distance when the talented Xavian Septiem managed to make a qualified save. CD Lola's players were relieved. 33 minutes into the match, Hercules S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Juan Anguciana came free, but Calle Gallinar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Anguciana to make the kick off. Unai Pejuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Gallinar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Anguciana in the 53rd minute of play forced Hercules S.C.'s goalkeeper Calle Gallinar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Anguciana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Gallinar having to interfere. Gómez Rusoto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Calle Gallinar made a huge save. If Rodolfo Verganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Hercules S.C.'s Rodolfo Verganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xavian Septiem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juan Anguciana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Calle Gallinar came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Anguciana slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 75th minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Zoilo Arriete managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hercules S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zoilo Arriete was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Anguciana in the 81st minute of play forced Hercules S.C.'s goalkeeper Calle Gallinar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hercules S.C.'s zone, Gómez Rusoto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calle Gallinar came out of the goal and Gómez Rusoto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gómez Rusoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zoilo Arriete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Rodolfo Verganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavian Septiem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hercules S.C.'s Rodolfo Verganza got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Calle Gallinar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Anguciana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CD Lola eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
