Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Demetrio Obregon started the match with the kick off. Yiyo Berar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Obregon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Chihuaran's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Alonso came free, but Klimovich Cayuso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Chihuaran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Riofrio to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Chihuaran:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abanico:s goal. Klimovich Cayuso went to the wrong direction when Tonio Fortea was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Demetrio Obregon might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yiyo Berar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Demetrio Obregon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chihuaran's goalkeeper Klimovich Cayuso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Klimovich Cayuso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Carlos Lorca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Demetrio Obregon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yiyo Berar was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Klimovich Cayuso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Carlos Lorca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yiyo Berar having to interfere. Chihuaran's Klimovich Cayuso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Alonso in the 43rd minute of play. Bustos Mogoruza charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bustos Mogoruza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Abanico fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Chihuaran. Gregorio Zaballos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yiyo Berar. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Patricio Alonso made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Lorca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Carlos Lorca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Yiyo Berar, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Abanico getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Weterio Palenciano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Castillo Cevallos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chihuaran's supporters rose to their feet, but Castillo Cevallos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yiyo Berar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd match minute, Abanico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xabier Curbelo to maneuver through the defense. Chihuaran's Gregorio Zaballos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Yiyo Berar but with some difficulty. Tonio Fortea hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Carlos Lorca kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 91stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Abanico's keeper Yiyo Berar was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Klimovich Cayuso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Aguila in the 96th minute of the match. Chihuaran's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
