After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Luciano Figueira got a free kick in the 14th minute. Morán Campuzano struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ramos Ramires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosalia. Nando Valero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Rabanera in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flor Viñaspre saved Rosalia from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Morán Campuzano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Ramos Ramires. Ramos Ramires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's zone, Nando Valero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramos Ramires came out of the goal and Nando Valero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Valentim Melic fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosalia's protests and gave Valentim Melic a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE booed when Rosalia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentim Melic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flor Viñaspre acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 34th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pepito Campoo. In the 40th minute Morán Campuzano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramos Ramires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Rosalia's zone, Armando Rabanera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flor Viñaspre came out of the goal and Armando Rabanera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Morán Campuzano to strike the kick off in the second half. Patricio Andrade scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flor Viñaspre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute, Patricio Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flor Viñaspre was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Texeira Mutiloa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Rosalia's Morán Campuzano got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 71 played minutes Rosalia got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Ayensa. Armando Rabanera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Flor Viñaspre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morán Campuzano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Francisco Ayensa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ramos Ramires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
