Venceslao Buisan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE. Arturo Cires's late challenge caught a INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Cires helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Barcelona SC's Arturo Cires got a free kick in the 14th minute. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE booed when Barcelona SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rios Umbria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pepito Campoo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Barcelona SC's zone, Patricio Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Venceslao Buisan came out of the goal and Patricio Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Barcelona SC booed when INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Rabanera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Felix Adornio made a precise shot to the right of Ramos Ramires. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Armando Rabanera kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Segundo Barcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Armando Rabanera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Rabanera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Barcelona SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Rabanera to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Ramos Ramires got control of the ball when Segundo Barcia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 56 played minutes Barcelona SC got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Iribarne. 57 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE DEL VALLE's Pepito Campoo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Segundo Barcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 0-2 became the score in the 67th minute when Felix Adornio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Segundo Barcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barcelona SC's Felix Adornio got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Felix Adornio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Adornio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramos Ramires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venceslao Buisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Barcelona SC's Rios Umbria got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 88 minutes into the match, Armando Rabanera notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Barcelona SC's Venceslao Buisan. Venceslao Buisan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Adornio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramos Ramires having to interfere. Barcelona SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
