Espinoza Somavilla struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Patricio Arriaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Tiopamba. After 14 minutes, Barros Iban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BaSuRaL FC and the CD Tiopamba players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to BaSuRaL FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Barros Iban hit a great ball. If Maximiliano Cariton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Maximiliano Cariton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Suazo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Abendaño in the 24th minute of play forced BaSuRaL FC's goalkeeper Patricio Arriaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Arriaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Espinoza Somavilla in the 27th minute. When Gerardo Valiente fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BaSuRaL FC's protests and gave Gerardo Valiente a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Gerardo Valiente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Suazo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Besga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fabio Abendaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BaSuRaL FC's Patricio Arriaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save BaSuRaL FC from getting a goal against them. Gustavo Suazo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Cariton in the 43rd minute of play. If Yánez Payno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximiliano Cariton was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Espinoza Somavilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BaSuRaL FC's Patricio Arriaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Arriaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Espinoza Somavilla in the 57th minute of the match. Patricio Arriaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Espinoza Somavilla in the 58th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, BaSuRaL FC's goal looked a bit too open when Espinoza Somavilla came free, but Patricio Arriaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Espinoza Somavilla couldn't finish the play. After 79 played minutes CD Tiopamba got a freekick which was hit by Espinoza Somavilla. In the 85thth minute of the game Espinoza Somavilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BaSuRaL FC's Patricio Arriaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniel Iscar hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, CD Tiopamba's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Federico Besga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Xorxe Cid kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, BaSuRaL FC's Barros Iban broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Federico Besga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Suazo was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Maximiliano Cariton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maximiliano Cariton really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. BaSuRaL FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
