Ruben Osuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramirez Lertora charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramirez Lertora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of CD Poalo booed when AUZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramirez Lertora didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Urritz Paradela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ubelteso Cines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Ron in the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Pascual Montiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Poalo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pascual Montiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Osuna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lastra Gobantes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Lastra Gobantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubelteso Cines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zabal Villacorta in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Silvio Carrete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvio Carrete was the one to do the kick off. Silvio Carrete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ubelteso Cines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Ron in the 55th minute of play. Ruben Osuna came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by CD Poalo's Silvio Carrete. But to his dismay, Silvio Carrete quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. A collision led to CD Poalo getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Franklin Lassa hit a great ball. Ubelteso Cines made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Zabal Villacorta sent off a good shot on target. Silvio Carrete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Osuna having to interfere. In the 85th minute Arlín Pascalin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Osuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Urritz Paradela suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 86 minutes, Celso Guareña mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AUZ F.C. and the CD Poalo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AUZ F.C. booed when CD Poalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xaime Parra didn't get a good kick on the ball.
