After a defensive mix-up in -XtremoX-'s zone, Valiente Barrial stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Ledesma came out of the goal and Valiente Barrial tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. -XtremoX-'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Carlos-Alberto Hortega scored to the left of an out of position Santiago Ledesma, making the score, 1-0. When -XtremoX-'s Paolo Chagavia in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. José-Manuel Salomon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Peter Zubieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Calisto Verganzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. Castro Rovira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santiago Ledesma. -XtremoX-'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When José-Manuel Salomon came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the -XtremoX- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José-Manuel Salomon couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, José-Manuel Salomon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The -XtremoX- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. José-Manuel Salomon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peter Zubieta having to make a save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC barcelona's goalkeeper Peter Zubieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for -XtremoX-! After 63 played minutes FC barcelona got a freekick which was hit by German Velazco. Calisto Verganzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Zubieta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calisto Verganzo ran back to his position shaking his head. After 68 played minutes FC barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Ufret. Peter Zubieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José-Manuel Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Ledesma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos-Alberto Hortega, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 75 minutes, Umea Imaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -XtremoX- and the FC barcelona players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Calisto Verganzo fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -XtremoX-'s protests and gave Calisto Verganzo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Calisto Verganzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valiente Barrial fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Ledesma having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC barcelona's goalkeeper Peter Zubieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
