But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramirez Torres couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Paiva Lapenya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. José-Francisco Odoardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vachon Cobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vachon Cobos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Errasti having to make a save. In the 59th match minute, FC Blues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yiyo Jugo to maneuver through the defense. Ramirez Torres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
