The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quiróz Pedronera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ovidio Olave might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quiróz Pedronera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Olave ran back to his position shaking his head. Calle Laorden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quiróz Pedronera having to interfere. Quiróz Pedronera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Olave in the 30th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Dennis Peñuelas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Deportivo gokuthan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calle Laorden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pichirilos's goalkeeper Quiróz Pedronera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
