Adolfo Plasencia was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Quimshi's players had a chance to rest. The corner led CD Quimshi's Adolfo Plasencia to fire away a dangerous shot which Bagui Castilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Teofilio Zarain's late challenge caught a CD Quimshi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilio Zarain helped the player get up and apologised. Teofilio Zarain hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Nogal's Bagui Castilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Oviedo in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Tuñon in the 32nd minute of play forced Nogal's goalkeeper Bagui Castilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in CD Quimshi's zone, Marcos Garibay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Rioseco came out of the goal and Marcos Garibay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Tuñon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bagui Castilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nogal's Juan Can got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mellington Marco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Felix Rioseco made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Can was the one to do the kick off. Bagui Castilla made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Xavier Oviedo sent off a good shot on target. Bagui Castilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jairo Tuñon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 56 minute of play. Xavier Oviedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Bagui Castilla made a huge save. In the 68th match minute, CD Quimshi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trivniño Migolla to maneuver through the defense. If Jairo Tuñon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Tuñon in the 78th minute of play forced Nogal's goalkeeper Bagui Castilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 88 minutes of play Nogal's Teofilio Zarain was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Nogal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CD Quimshi's performance. The match ended with a win for CD Quimshi.
