Escobar Patiño didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mercado Besteiro went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Parisi Ester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luis Payva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anangonó Cagigas's late challenge caught a Pichikatos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anangonó Cagigas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to UD Riofrio getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Anangonó Cagigas hit a great ball. With a little luck, UD Riofrio's Luis Payva got control of the ball when Parisi Ester tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mercado Besteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Escobar Patiño having to interfere. The long shot by Yaniusky Armida in the 20th minute really tested Luis Payva's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Osorio Sevane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Escobar Patiño. Pichikatos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osorio Sevane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ricardo Zornoza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osorio Sevane in the 31st minute of play forced Pichikatos's goalkeeper Escobar Patiño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Payva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Zornoza in the 34th minute of play. Ricardo Zornoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osorio Sevane struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Escobar Patiño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Riofrio. Ricardo Zornoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Payva having to interfere. UD Riofrio's Luis Payva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Zornoza in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Zornoza to strike the kick off in the second half. Osorio Sevane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Escobar Patiño having to interfere. Luis Payva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parisi Ester, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. With his leg Escobar Patiño managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when UD Riofrio's Mercado Besteiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luis Payva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Zornoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Pichikatos's goalkeeper Escobar Patiño had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mercado Besteiro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mercado Besteiro got free with Escobar Patiño in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, UD Riofrio's Osorio Sevane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Escobar Patiño narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mercado Besteiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Escobar Patiño. That made the score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. In the 80th minute, Zaquiel Trasviña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Pichikatos getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ricardo Zornoza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osorio Sevane in the 87th minute of play forced Pichikatos's goalkeeper Escobar Patiño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Zornoza in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Payva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anangonó Cagigas was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. UD Riofrio's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
