The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Urdaspal Ocasio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Corada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lechuga SC's Urdaspal Ocasio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Corada in the 7th minute of play. Ramon Mateu's late challenge caught a Lechuga SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramon Mateu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Ramon Mateu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute Ordóñez Marful shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavica Entrambasaguas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guagua Casadevante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gavica Entrambasaguas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Macua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Gavica Entrambasaguas made a huge save. After having played for 35 minutes, Ordóñez Marful managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechuga SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ordóñez Marful was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guagua Casadevante in the 37th minute of play forced LDU Ecuqui's goalkeeper Gavica Entrambasaguas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitin Dolarea's late challenge caught a LDU Ecuqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitin Dolarea helped the player get up and apologised. Vitin Dolarea hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Macua got free with Gavica Entrambasaguas in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Guagua Casadevante in the 51st minute of play forced LDU Ecuqui's goalkeeper Gavica Entrambasaguas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Guagua Casadevante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Lechuga SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xurde Cembraña to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Ordóñez Marful was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lechuga SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LDU Ecuqui the free kick. Ordóñez Marful kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ignacio Corada struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Urdaspal Ocasio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LDU Ecuqui. Vitin Dolarea kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Urdaspal Ocasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilson Villaverde, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Vilson Villaverde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
