Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wilfredo Rua kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Ordóñez Muñoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Shushufindi's goal looked a bit too open when Morán Canillas came free, but Calle Pison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Xacobo Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calle Pison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Shushufindi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Alaña to maneuver through the defense. Juripilaca FC's Ignacio Sena couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Shushufindi. 15 minutes into the match, Gerardo Dorado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Shushufindi's Calle Pison. Calle Pison was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Cenzano notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Shushufindi's Calle Pison. After a defensive mix-up in Juripilaca FC's zone, Eugenio Raireta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Corrales came out of the goal and Eugenio Raireta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xacobo Bernal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Parrales Uruñuela hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Ignacio Sena, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Xacobo Bernal made the kick off in the second half. If Xacobo Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xacobo Bernal in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Calle Pison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xacobo Bernal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Calle Pison read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Xacobo Frago charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xacobo Frago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Shushufindi got a freekick which was hit by Xacobo Frago. After 64 played minutes Juripilaca FC got a freekick which was hit by Xacobo Bernal. In the 64th minute, Xacobo Bernal fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Calle Pison moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. The supporters of Juripilaca FC booed when Shushufindi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xacobo Frago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Shushufindi got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Alaña. Shushufindi's Calle Pison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacobo Bernal in the 79th minute of play. If Eugenio Raireta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Rua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Freddy Corrales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerardo Dorado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Pison having to interfere. When Gerardo Dorado came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Juripilaca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Dorado couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Xacobo Bernal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calle Pison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juripilaca FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
