Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After 2 minutes, Caicedo Figueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shushufindi and the UD Guachala players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Shushufindi getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Caicedo Figueira hit a great ball. Shushufindi's Calle Pison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogerio Jerez in the 3rd minute of play. Pio Najar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Pison having to interfere. Calle Pison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arévalo Carda, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After a rather tough play, Shushufindi's Sergio Alaña got a free kick in the 10th minute. With a little luck, UD Guachala's Bone Raiz got control of the ball when Eugenio Raireta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Washington Cuartas kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When UD Guachala's Arévalo Carda in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shushufindi's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st minute Wilfredo Rua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bone Raiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Arévalo Carda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Calle Pison was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mendez Cianca managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Guachala's supporters rose to their feet, but Mendez Cianca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Calle Pison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Shushufindi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. UD Guachala were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arévalo Carda to make the kick off. Calle Pison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arévalo Carda in the 55th minute of the match. Bone Raiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Rua, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in UD Guachala's zone, Eugenio Raireta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bone Raiz came out of the goal and Eugenio Raireta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Calle Pison managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when UD Guachala's Mendez Cianca fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 64th minute, Xacobo Frago made a precise shot to the right of Bone Raiz. UD Guachala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eugenio Raireta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bone Raiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mendez Cianca scored 1-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calle Pison, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Arévalo Carda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calle Pison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arévalo Carda, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If Wilfredo Rua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UD Guachala eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
