An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni Ahijado in the 6th minute of play forced CD Zapotal's goalkeeper Calle Toria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calle Toria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estacio Corniero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Prosperidad SC's zone, Xuaco Nadal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oswaldo Elguero came out of the goal and Xuaco Nadal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oswaldo Elguero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cerio in the 15th minute of play. Estacio Corniero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 23 minutes into the match, CD Zapotal's López Abendano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. CD Zapotal's Calle Toria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Ahijado in the 31st minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Prosperidad SC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cerio came free, but Oswaldo Elguero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Fuerte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xuaco Nadal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Oswaldo Elguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estacio Corniero scored 0-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calle Toria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the game, Camilo Viciola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Zapotal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Prosperidad SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, CD Zapotal's Camilo Viciola got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovanni Ahijado to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Prosperidad SC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni Ahijado. CD Zapotal's Calle Toria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Ahijado in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Augusto Cerio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oswaldo Elguero was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Oswaldo Elguero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xuaco Nadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prosperidad SC were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after CD Zapotal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vera Cañon took the corner. Rodrigo Fuerte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Elguero having to interfere. In the 90th minute Augusto Cerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Elguero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Molner kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The CD Zapotal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Prosperidad SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Prosperidad SC.
