Augusto Cerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Barco having to make a save. Jacobo Barco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Cerio's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 9th match minute, Piezza F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergio Lojo to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute Xuaco Nadal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Barco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Piezza F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mendez Socarras to maneuver through the defense. López Abendano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Barco. Piezza F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Augusto Cerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Zapotal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Pedro Ibias 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Sergio Lojo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jacobo Barco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Piezza F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Lojo. 33 minutes into the match, CD Zapotal's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Ibias came free, but Calle Toria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Nando Ascarretazabal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piezza F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Ascarretazabal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Piezza F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Augusto Cerio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Cerio struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jacobo Barco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Zapotal. Xuaco Nadal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Barco having to interfere. After 74 played minutes CD Zapotal got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Cerio. Xuaco Nadal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Barco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Augusto Cerio managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Zapotal's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Cerio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Barco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nando Ascarretazabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Calle Toria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calle Toria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Ibias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nando Ascarretazabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Piezza F.C.'s Urtungo Domene got a free kick in the 93rd minute. With a little luck, Piezza F.C.'s Jacobo Barco got control of the ball when Xuaco Nadal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Cerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Jacobo Barco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Piezza F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while CD Zapotal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
