The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yoelvis Franquis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Rano's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. A collision led to Palalin SC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Luis-Antonio Naveda hit a great ball. After having played for 12 minutes, Zeledon Leira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palalin SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Leira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Palalin SC's Teodoro Suarez couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Trapasola FC. Palalin SC's Yoelvis Franquis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Palalin SC from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Mauro Rano fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Yoelvis Franquis, passed just outside the right post. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Insua Montes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Rano in the 28th minute of play forced Palalin SC's goalkeeper Yoelvis Franquis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Rano struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Yoelvis Franquis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trapasola FC. Trapasola FC's Damian Alcayde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bone Menocal in the 35th minute of play. Damian Alcayde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Leira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damian Alcayde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Leira, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Tyrone Cos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trapasola FC's Damian Alcayde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bone Menocal in the 46th minute of play. Yoelvis Franquis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Rano, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeledon Leira made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Palalin SC's Bone Menocal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damian Alcayde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zeledon Leira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeledon Leira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Damian Alcayde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trapasola FC! After 75 played minutes Trapasola FC got a freekick which was hit by Tyrone Cos. Mauro Rano struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Yoelvis Franquis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trapasola FC. Damian Alcayde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bone Menocal in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, Luis-Antonio Naveda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Damian Alcayde, passed just outside the right post. Palalin SC's Zeledon Leira got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Palalin SC booed when Trapasola FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrone Cos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palalin SC were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Trapasola FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Teodoro Suarez took the corner. If Mauro Rano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bone Menocal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Damian Alcayde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palalin SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
