The supporters of Palalin SC booed when Arajuno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Cañon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 minutes, Abel Abancens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arajuno and the Palalin SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Arajuno got a freekick which was hit by Abel Abancens. In the 9th match minute, Arajuno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Garate to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Teodoro Suarez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente Amondo skillfully saved the ball. In the 12th minute, Zeledon Leira made a precise shot to the right of Vicente Amondo. Arajuno's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Vicente Amondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Leira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes Arajuno got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Garate. Klimowitz Guinao received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Palalin SC's zone, Klimowitz Guinao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yoelvis Franquis came out of the goal and Klimowitz Guinao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hurtado Copeiro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Roger Cañon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Yoelvis Franquis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Klimowitz Guinao fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arajuno's protests and gave Klimowitz Guinao a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Arajuno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klimowitz Guinao to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Amondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bone Menocal in the 39th minute of play. Hurtado Copeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Amondo having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Klimowitz Guinao made the kick off in the second half. Zeledon Leira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Teodoro Suarez had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Erwin Lebrija charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erwin Lebrija the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Arajuno got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Lebrija. Yoelvis Franquis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klimowitz Guinao in the 64th minute of the match. After 79 minutes, Patricio Velazco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palalin SC and the Arajuno players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, Patricio Velazco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Klimowitz Guinao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute.
