The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alvaro Felipo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Beaga in the 53rd minute of play forced Pindilic SC's goalkeeper Murillo Ovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Demetrio Ballugera's late challenge caught a Surucucho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demetrio Ballugera helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Demetrio Ballugera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Surucucho FC were furious when Vasco Mayre was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Pindilic SC a penalty, 64 minutes into the game.
