Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Blue Shadows's Calderón Collantes got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, UD Zumbagua's Braulio Santecilla got control of the ball when Calderón Collantes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 11 played minutes UD Zumbagua got a freekick which was hit by Venceslas Maseda. When Calderón Collantes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Blue Shadows fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calderón Collantes couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Venceslas Maseda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rosero Castroverde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of UD Zumbagua booed when Blue Shadows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Benito didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Blue Shadows got a corner. UD Zumbagua's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franklin Mirueña ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zernin Mejia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Roque Olazabal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Zorion Sorondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klimowicz Bureu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calderón Collantes in the 52nd minute of play forced UD Zumbagua's goalkeeper Braulio Santecilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calderón Collantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Braulio Santecilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rosero Castroverde couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Blue Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Rosero Castroverde came free, but Roque Olazabal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zernin Mejia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, UD Zumbagua's goal looked a bit too open when Suárez Villaran came free, but Braulio Santecilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Santecilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klimowicz Bureu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute Calderón Collantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Santecilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Klimowicz Bureu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Shadows's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klimowicz Bureu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Calderón Collantes struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Braulio Santecilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Shadows. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klimowicz Bureu in the 87th minute of play forced UD Zumbagua's goalkeeper Braulio Santecilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klimowicz Bureu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
