Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lorenzo Rojica started the match with the kick off. Aurelio Fontanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Braulio Santecilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Trejo during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Trejo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. San Fransisco de Quito's Edson Ciaño couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for UD Zumbagua. Braulio Santecilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Rojica, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Aurelio Fontanez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Bartolomei hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Zorion Sorondo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Edson Ciaño shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Braulio Santecilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Aurelio Fontanez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Fontanez during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes San Fransisco de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Fontanez. After a defensive mix-up in UD Zumbagua's zone, Lorenzo Rojica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Santecilla came out of the goal and Lorenzo Rojica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes San Fransisco de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Machado Moral. 32 minutes into the game, Rosero Castroverde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Freddy Cañas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xabat Carballo's late challenge caught a UD Zumbagua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xabat Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 43 minutes, Zelipe Jaraba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Fransisco de Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zelipe Jaraba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th match minute, UD Zumbagua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Trejo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Aurelio Fontanez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Fransisco de Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Fontanez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rosero Castroverde to strike the kick off in the second half. UD Zumbagua were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after San Fransisco de Quito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximo Uriszar took the corner. The corner ended in Julian Pedreira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Fransisco de Quito's Freddy Cañas did a great save. Machado Moral hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Zernin Mejia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Fransisco de Quito's Freddy Cañas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosero Castroverde in the 65th minute of play. UD Zumbagua's Zernin Mejia got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurelio Fontanez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Freddy Cañas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zernin Mejia, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Braulio Santecilla successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Lorenzo Rojica managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Fransisco de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Lorenzo Rojica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Santecilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Fontanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Aurelio Fontanez in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Braulio Santecilla, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. San Fransisco de Quito were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
