Rolando Resco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Victoriano Zuniga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, Rolando Resco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Victoriano Zuniga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victoriano Zuniga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Resco in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Poguios SC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Angulo Leston hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes, Poguios SC's Ricardo Azcona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victoriano Zuniga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Poguios SC reached it. A hard shot 25 in the game by Rolando Resco from a close distance when the talented Victoriano Zuniga managed to make a qualified save. Jalpuen's players were relieved. Sergio Carranceja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Victoriano Zuniga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Esteban Sarricolea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Marcelo Termiñon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Martinez Felix fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jalpuen's protests and gave Martinez Felix a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Sarricolea in the 41st minute of play forced Poguios SC's goalkeeper Marcelo Termiñon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Segio Larrinzar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Termiñon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poguios SC's Marcelo Termiñon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Sarricolea in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rolando Resco to make the kick off. Segio Larrinzar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marcelo Termiñon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Jalpuen's Segio Larrinzar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelo Termiñon. Marcelo Termiñon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Marcelo Termiñon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segio Larrinzar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Segio Larrinzar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Termiñon having to interfere. Esteban Sarricolea struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Marcelo Termiñon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jalpuen. With a little luck, Poguios SC's Marcelo Termiñon got control of the ball when Esteban Sarricolea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victoriano Zuniga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Carranceja in the 80th minute of play. Rolando Resco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Victoriano Zuniga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Esteban Sarricolea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolando Resco took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victoriano Zuniga. Victoriano Zuniga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The audience was convinced that Esteban Sarricolea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcelo Termiñon was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
