ATOM F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guayaquil Sporting Club the free kick. After 3 played minutes ATOM F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Casado Sanles. 7 minutes into the match, Guayaquil Sporting Club's Kaviedes Perojo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 11 minutes of play, ATOM F.C.'s Xacintu Xavier made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angel Trasviña was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pepito Payva struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Angel Trasviña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATOM F.C.. After a rather tough play, ATOM F.C.'s Noriega Sominaya got a free kick in the 21st minute. Xzavier Rincon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gutierrez Astiategui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Noriega Sominaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATOM F.C. and the Guayaquil Sporting Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Noriega Sominaya hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Xzavier Rincon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel Trasviña didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pepito Payva went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half ATOM F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gutierrez Astiategui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xzavier Rincon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes, Xesus Soltero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guayaquil Sporting Club and the ATOM F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xacintu Xavier in the 61st minute of play forced Guayaquil Sporting Club's goalkeeper Angel Trasviña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gutierrez Astiategui didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Guayaquil Sporting Club's Felix Trullols shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Gutierrez Astiategui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 88 minutes, Pepito Payva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATOM F.C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
