Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ayora SC's Federico Salaya started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Héctor Sanjuan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Manuel Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Alfonso Velayo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Héctor Sanjuan in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Carneiro saved Ayora SC from getting behind. After 14 played minutes Ayora SC got a freekick which was hit by Xzaver Pedrera. Manuel Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Ovin's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Alfonso Velayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Lavalle Buelva made a huge save. In the 19th match minute, CD Chaquicuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernández Mirueña to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CD Chaquicuna's zone, Federico Salaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lavalle Buelva came out of the goal and Federico Salaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viteri Bierna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Minda Landa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayora SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Minda Landa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lavalle Buelva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Ovin, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 29 played minutes CD Chaquicuna got a freekick which was hit by Jama Viejo. In the 30th minute, Alfonso Velayo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ayora SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 33rd match minute, CD Chaquicuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Roales to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Héctor Sanjuan to strike the kick off in the second half. Lavalle Buelva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Salaya in the 54th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Federico Salaya in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lavalle Buelva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Federico Salaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lavalle Buelva was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Lavalle Buelva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Salaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Salaya in the 74th minute of play forced CD Chaquicuna's goalkeeper Lavalle Buelva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lavalle Buelva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Velayo in the 76th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Federico Salaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayora SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Salaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ayora SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while CD Chaquicuna had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
