Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Intriago Antigua got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas SC's goalkeeper Krikorian Seoane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xalbador Ibero. Ysidro Can received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Salomon Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salomon Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubaldo Fontecha in the 6th minute of the match. Hidalgo Cosio charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hidalgo Cosio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Calabi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hidalgo Cosio to maneuver through the defense. Xalbador Ibero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Krikorian Seoane came out and tried to block the shot, but Xalbador Ibero slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Fontecha notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Calabi FC's Salomon Mata. Salomon Mata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute of the match, Hidalgo Cosio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krikorian Seoane saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute of the match, Xalbador Ibero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Krikorian Seoane was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Intriago Antigua in the 27th minute of play forced Esmeraldas SC's goalkeeper Krikorian Seoane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ubaldo Fontecha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Salomon Mata was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Salomon Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ysidro Can, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Ubaldo Fontecha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Calabi FC's Alejandro Amieva got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ubaldo Fontecha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Salomon Mata. Calabi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Esmeraldas SC's Krikorian Seoane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Amieva in the 46th minute of play.

Salomon Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Fontecha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Fontecha kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ubaldo Fontecha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salomon Mata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Esmeraldas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Intriago Antigua came free, but Krikorian Seoane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ubaldo Fontecha came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Esmeraldas SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Fontecha couldn't finish the play. Krikorian Seoane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Amieva in the 72nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Xalbador Ibero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Krikorian Seoane was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. If Ysidro Can had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ysidro Can could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Salomon Mata made a huge save. After 79 played minutes Calabi FC got a freekick which was hit by Hidalgo Cosio. Krikorian Seoane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Intriago Antigua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Calabi FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Alejandro Amieva hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Urtsin Isasi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salomon Mata skillfully saved the ball. In the 88th minute Ubaldo Fontecha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salomon Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Esmeraldas SC defense, Alejandro Amieva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krikorian Seoane. The Esmeraldas SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krikorian Seoane should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ysidro Can got free with Salomon Mata in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Calabi FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Esmeraldas SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
