Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In a very dangerous position, a player in UD Babahoyo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! Mora Gomara shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Martinez Azuela hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Klimowitz Hortuño made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neicer Llanez in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Rodas Baizan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mora Gomara didn't quite understand what happened when in the 12 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Xosepe Margarita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricart Casado having to interfere. Ricart Casado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Zarate's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. If Juan-Pablo Sieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Klimowitz Hortuño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coyette Valdevielso in the 29th minute of play. Mora Gomara charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mora Gomara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience held their breath when Martinez Azuela in the 34th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ricart Casado's left hand side. Jalupata's Ricart Casado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Pablo Sieira in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Juan-Pablo Sieira sped through Jalupata's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricart Casado. After 45 played minutes, Jalupata's Xurdin Mijancas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Klimowitz Hortuño came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jalupata reached it. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Coyette Valdevielso made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Xosepe Margarita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klimowitz Hortuño showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neicer Llanez, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 62nd match minute, UD Babahoyo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xosepe Margarita to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute Neicer Llanez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klimowitz Hortuño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UD Babahoyo's Klimowitz Hortuño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Coyette Valdevielso in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Neicer Llanez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Klimowitz Hortuño. UD Babahoyo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neicer Llanez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Roberto Zarate recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Roberto Zarate came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the UD Babahoyo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Zarate couldn't finish the play. Juan-Pablo Sieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Jalupata fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. UD Babahoyo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
