Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Macuchi's Gustavo Iruz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Macuchi's Vachon Gabriel got a free kick in the 8th minute. Espiga Caldas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Zarate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan-Pablo Sieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Espiga Caldas made a huge save. Machado Seron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 26 played minutes UD Babahoyo got a freekick which was hit by Martinez Azuela. After 28 played minutes UD Babahoyo got a freekick which was hit by Xosepe Margarita. Klimowitz Hortuño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Machado Seron in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Macuchi's zone, Roberto Zarate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Espiga Caldas came out of the goal and Roberto Zarate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Americo Boiro fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macuchi's protests and gave Americo Boiro a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 48th minute, when UD Babahoyo's Martinez Azuela after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Espiga Caldas in Macuchi's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Zarate to strike the kick off in the second half. If Machado Seron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Iruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klimowitz Hortuño having to interfere. Klimowitz Hortuño made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Machado Seron sent off a good shot on target. If Machado Seron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Zarate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Macuchi's goalkeeper Espiga Caldas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Machado Seron fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Klimowitz Hortuño, passed just outside the right post. Machado Seron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Iruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klimowitz Hortuño having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
