Johnny Cabello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viator Olozagoitia having to interfere. Viator Olozagoitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny Cabello in the 38th minute of play. Zumar Real took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urtun Arcas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Gerardo Froiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute, Elena FC's Ugutz Nebot ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Viator Olozagoitia. Viator Olozagoitia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johnny Cabello to strike the kick off in the second half. Johnny Cabello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zumar Real was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yader Suero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 55 minute of play. Urtun Arcas struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Zumar Real didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Shinshun. In the 61st minute Yader Suero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zumar Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pinto Valdenebro hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, UD Shinshun's Urtun Arcas got a free kick in the 79th minute. Zumar Real made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urtun Arcas in the 82nd minute. When Yader Suero fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Shinshun's protests and gave Yader Suero a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Johnny Cabello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viator Olozagoitia was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Paolo Chapital fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viator Olozagoitia having to interfere. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Johnny Cabello sped through UD Shinshun's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Viator Olozagoitia. A collision led to UD Shinshun getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Yader Suero hit a great ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
