In the 24th minute Bernardo Garros managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. 27 minutes into the game, Mercado Sierro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Xuoco Pintado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xuoco Pintado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cagua Zubizarrieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Xuoco Pintado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cagua Zubizarrieta's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Cagua Zubizarrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Pangayacu's goalkeeper Estevez Anguciana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Bayon. Villarreal Zuloaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuoco Pintado having to interfere. Mercado Sierro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cagua Zubizarrieta in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xuoco Pintado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cagua Zubizarrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Xuoco Pintado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cagua Zubizarrieta to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Bayon in the 54th minute of play forced Pangayacu's goalkeeper Estevez Anguciana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mora Guibar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vitin Yecora took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Xuoco Pintado. UD Chantaco's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, UD Chantaco's Mora Guibar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Estevez Anguciana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Leoverliz Azcunaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute, Pangayacu's Cagua Zubizarrieta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 73 minutes into the game, Mora Guibar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Estevez Anguciana was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilfredo Bayon struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Estevez Anguciana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Chantaco. 81 minutes into the match, UD Chantaco's goal looked a bit too open when Cagua Zubizarrieta came free, but Xuoco Pintado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cagua Zubizarrieta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to UD Chantaco getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Leoverliz Azcunaga hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Mora Guibar notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Pangayacu's Estevez Anguciana. Estevez Anguciana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the game, Xosepe Sanles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pangayacu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Chantaco the free kick. Xosepe Sanles hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Pangayacu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
