Descanso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romo Cabrales was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Tonio Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Alcubierre kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Descanso FC's Cristobal Fitado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After 42 played minutes Descanso FC got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Alcubierre. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tonio Reyes to strike the kick off in the second half. CD Pula's Geovanni Valdeboys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Altares in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th match minute, Descanso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Fitado to maneuver through the defense. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tonio Reyes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Descanso FC's Zenon Alcolea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Jairo Altares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Descanso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Altares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zenon Alcolea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonio Reyes in the 67th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tonio Reyes in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zenon Alcolea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo Altares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Geovanni Valdeboys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CD Pula booed when Descanso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Ontañon didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tonio Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Fitado got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 85 played minutes Descanso FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Fitado. Zenon Alcolea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romo Cabrales in the 90th minute. Tonio Reyes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The CD Pula players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Descanso FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
