Castillo Gobeo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Castillo Gobeo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Olmedo getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Castillo Gobeo hit a great ball. Alonzo Ameyugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Bergaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vela Calzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Ripol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonzo Ameyugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Bergaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some careless play in the Olmedo defense, Eduardo Ripol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vela Calzon. The Olmedo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vela Calzon should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Olmedo's David Bergaño got a free kick in the 34th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After having played for 80 minutes, Eduardo Ripol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Llurimaguas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Ripol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Olmedo's Castillo Gobeo got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Flavio Rael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Llurimaguas SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Olmedo throughout the match.
