Kaviedes Quijada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Mamey got a freekick which was hit by Sotomayor Armida. Narciso Vergas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bustos Olar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Berenguer in the 13th minute of play forced Mamey's goalkeeper Bustos Olar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Villarreal in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kaviedes Quijada saved Barreiro FC from getting behind. The supporters of Mamey booed when Barreiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoilo Modet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximo Villarreal struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Kaviedes Quijada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamey. Kaviedes Quijada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Intriago Poo in the 21st minute of play. Maximo Villarreal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kaviedes Quijada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Narciso Vergas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Narciso Vergas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bustos Olar having to interfere. Bustos Olar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Berenguer, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 43 played minutes Mamey got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Zadaya. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ismael Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Berenguer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bustos Olar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After 54 minutes Barreiro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luis-Antonio Fragua who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Luis-Antonio Fragua almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Barreiro FC's Kaviedes Quijada did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Vergas in the 57th minute of play forced Mamey's goalkeeper Bustos Olar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Ismael Berenguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bustos Olar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Barreiro FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Jaime Gatell hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Mamey's Maximo Villarreal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kaviedes Quijada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Intriago Poo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Gatell during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Villarreal in the 70th minute of play forced Barreiro FC's goalkeeper Kaviedes Quijada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaviedes Quijada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Villarreal in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barreiro FC's zone, Aurelio Zadaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaviedes Quijada came out of the goal and Aurelio Zadaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kaviedes Quijada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximo Villarreal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute of the match Timoteo Tineo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kaviedes Quijada skillfully saved the ball. Maximo Villarreal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismael Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bustos Olar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bustos Olar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Gatell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
