Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when David Roches got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of UD Cachahuaico booed when Tena SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Frago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Borrero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Costante Higuera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 10 played minutes UD Cachahuaico got a freekick which was hit by Chico Ludueña. 10 minutes into the match, Tena SC's Humberto Onil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, David Roches took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Costante Higuera to make any attempt to save it. David Roches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costante Higuera having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, UD Cachahuaico's goal looked a bit too open when Corozo Larrinaga came free, but Gonzalo Padolles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Leo Borrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Corozo Larrinaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzalo Padolles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Roches in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costante Higuera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 56 minutes, Boris Bandera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UD Cachahuaico and the Tena SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Costante Higuera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Borrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game David Roches who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tena SC's Costante Higuera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alonzo Hervas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Gonzalo Padolles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tena SC. The supporters of Tena SC booed when UD Cachahuaico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Ludueña didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Corozo Larrinaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tena SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Corozo Larrinaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th match minute, UD Cachahuaico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nunez Urtueta to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Padolles acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Humberto Onil. Chico Ludueña hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Leo Borrero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Costante Higuera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tena SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tena SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
