When Tomas Ruperto fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Charupi's protests and gave Tomas Ruperto a yellow card for diving instead. UD Charupi's Iachetti Durango played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Alves in the 12th minute of play. Tobachirin FC's Vicente Adrales got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iachetti Durango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Alves in the 19th minute of play. Marques Hortero's late challenge caught a UD Charupi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marques Hortero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of UD Charupi booed when Tobachirin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marques Hortero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iachetti Durango showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Adrales, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Vicente Adrales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iachetti Durango having to interfere. Tobachirin FC's Justavino Buruaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nixon Costilla in the 38th minute of play. Miguel Marful sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rene Alves came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Tobachirin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Alves couldn't finish the play. After having played for 50 minutes, Miguel Marful managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Charupi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Marful was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Adrales to make the kick off. Iachetti Durango didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tobachirin FC's Sandro Saga shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Iachetti Durango took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Adrales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Maquiano during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 played minutes UD Charupi got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Maquiano. Rene Alves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Iachetti Durango skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Iachetti Durango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Adrales in the 72nd minute of play. Rene Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Vicente Adrales recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iachetti Durango. Vicente Adrales showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. With a little luck, UD Charupi's Iachetti Durango got control of the ball when Rene Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, UD Charupi's goalkeeper Iachetti Durango had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Alves. After a rather tough play, UD Charupi's Ur Cruz got a free kick in the 86th minute. Rene Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Iachetti Durango tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobachirin FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
