UD Vega's supporters rose to their feet, but Candelario Rocandio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Velez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28thth minute of the game Weather Urbilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canaveral's Francisco Velez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Segundo Alzedar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guerrero Antonijoan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monge Cascajares having to interfere. The supporters of Canaveral booed when UD Vega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Silio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudio Ballejos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Alzedar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Monge Cascajares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Alzedar, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 89th minute of the match, Bernardo Guerrero sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Francisco Velez showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Caniego during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
