Vito Reguero kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Brito Vime kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A collision led to Pompeya getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. España Cordova hit a great ball. With a little luck, Pompeya's Rodriguez Morillo got control of the ball when Lara Tortoles tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Santo Encina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yoel Ajorbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Xuban Capistrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Pompeya got a freekick which was hit by España Cordova. 28 minutes into the match, Pompeya's goalkeeper Rodriguez Morillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lara Tortoles. España Cordova hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The supporters of UD Puerto booed when Pompeya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ximeno Salais didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santo Encinas short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Rodriguez Morillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 42 minutes, Santo Encina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Puerto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Encina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pompeya's Xamo Sole got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santo Encina to make the kick off. Rodriguez Morillo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Puerto's Santo Encina. But to his dismay, Santo Encina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Xuban Capistrano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yoel Ajorbe in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Pompeya's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Encina came free, but Rodriguez Morillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Xosepin Maya fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pompeya's protests and gave Xosepin Maya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Pompeya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xosepin Maya to maneuver through the defense. Xamo Sole fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuban Capistrano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xamo Sole in the 69th minute of play forced UD Puerto's goalkeeper Xuban Capistrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Lara Tortoles managed to get in a good position for a shot. UD Puerto's supporters rose to their feet, but Lara Tortoles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguez Morillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santo Encina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguez Morillo having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, España Cordova was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pompeya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Puerto the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Pompeya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by España Cordova to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Lara Tortoles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Pompeya booed when UD Puerto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brito Vime didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguez Morillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Encina in the 93rd minute of play. Yoel Ajorbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The UD Puerto fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pompeya had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
