Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Marcelo Alcayde successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in CD Mamey's zone, Roman Tato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Broz came out of the goal and Roman Tato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Broz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zuzen Pedolles in the 15th minute of the match. Zuzen Pedolles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquin Nobal hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Araujo's Enrique Bosch got a free kick in the 30th minute. Roman Tato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Broz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zuzen Pedolles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ataulfo Balaguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Marcelo Alcayde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Tato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roman Poblaciones to strike the kick off in the second half. Veremundo Aviñante charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Veremundo Aviñante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Araujo got a freekick which was hit by Veremundo Aviñante. Marcelo Alcayde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ordóñez Mascarañas, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Patricio Broz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Tato in the 59th minute of play. Zuzen Pedolles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelo Alcayde didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CD Mamey's Ataulfo Balaguer shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. 68 minutes into the match, CD Mamey's goalkeeper Patricio Broz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zuzen Pedolles. After a defensive mix-up in CD Mamey's zone, Zuzen Pedolles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Broz came out of the goal and Zuzen Pedolles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Araujo defense, Ataulfo Balaguer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Alcayde. The Araujo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Alcayde should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute, Ataulfo Balaguer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zuzen Pedolles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Mamey's zone, Roman Tato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Broz came out of the goal and Roman Tato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute Roman Tato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patricio Broz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Roman Tato reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patricio Broz. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 95th minute, Joaquin Nobal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Alcayde was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Araujo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
