Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Clemente Barnechea made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Sanchez Molfi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laguna's supporters rose to their feet, but Sanchez Molfi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bone Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Laguna booed when UD Palanuma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guerrero Amileta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Adrian Zapico sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and UD Palanuma's Bone Lopes didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Laguna's Edgar Apodaca got control of the ball when Luzuriaga Cardona tried to sneak it across the goal line. When León Broz fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laguna's protests and gave León Broz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, UD Palanuma's Clemente Barnechea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wellington Velaostegui in the 28th minute of play forced UD Palanuma's goalkeeper Bone Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UD Palanuma's Blanco Corcuera shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edgar Apodaca but with some difficulty. Edgar Apodaca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Barnechea, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 37th minute, Laguna's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luzuriaga Cardona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sanchez Molfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bone Lopes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanchez Molfi in the 42nd minute of play forced UD Palanuma's goalkeeper Bone Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UD Palanuma's Bone Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Cobos in the 44th minute of play. Sanchez Molfi took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bone Lopes. Bone Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sanchez Molfi to make the kick off. Luzuriaga Cardona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Edgar Apodaca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Clemente Barnechea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Apodaca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in UD Palanuma's zone, Sanchez Molfi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bone Lopes came out of the goal and Sanchez Molfi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute, UD Palanuma's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romeo Cobos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 62nd minute, Sanchez Molfi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Luzuriaga Cardona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Barnechea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Apodaca having to interfere. UD Palanuma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Cobos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
