The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Achique got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Mateo. Guagua Orgera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bone Lopes. UD Palanuma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 44 played minutes Achique got a freekick which was hit by Xzavaier Sagrario. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Criban Viñaspre made a kick off. When Blanco Corcuera fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Palanuma's protests and gave Blanco Corcuera a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to UD Palanuma getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Espinosa Toro hit a great ball. Guagua Orgera, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Luzuriaga Cardona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodríguez Echaitia having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Achique's goalkeeper Rodríguez Echaitia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luzuriaga Cardona. If Clemente Barnechea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Achique's Umbruso Romaza got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Achique's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Barnechea came free, but Rodríguez Echaitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Achique's zone, Clemente Barnechea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodríguez Echaitia came out of the goal and Clemente Barnechea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodríguez Echaitia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Clemente Barnechea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 91 minute of play. Bone Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Latorre went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Achique's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
