Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chanchun's Paco Velayo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Reyes Marine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reyes Marine scored 1-0 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xove Toria, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Zunbeltz Miel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Putupano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zunbeltz Miel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 28 minutes, Gómez Martioda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chanchun and the Putupano FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Putupano FC booed when Chanchun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gómez Martioda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Xalbador Serena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putupano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xalbador Serena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Chanchun getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Narciso Falcon hit a great ball. Xalbador Serena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reyes Marine could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Xove Toria made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zunbeltz Miel was the one to do the kick off. Facundo Campo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Rubio Agunaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Xalbador Serena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Zunbeltz Miel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Walter Ybarbo. Zunbeltz Miel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Xove Toria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paco Velayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Putupano FC's zone, Paco Velayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xove Toria came out of the goal and Paco Velayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paco Velayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paco Velayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Xove Toria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zunbeltz Miel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pepito Abeijon during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Zunbeltz Miel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paco Velayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
