In the 7th minute Mauro Finez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pancho Sotres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Sandoval's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Finez came free, but Pancho Sotres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When David Ucedo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Deseo's protests and gave David Ucedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, UD Deseo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Ucedo to maneuver through the defense. Nando Soba's late challenge caught a Sandoval's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nando Soba helped the player get up and apologised. Nando Soba kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Morán Berdu charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Morán Berdu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guerrón Naveda charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. UD Deseo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Finez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pancho Sotres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandoval's Weather Loño got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Weather Loño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leoverliz Jares was the one to do the kick off. Weather Loño might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romero Lagrana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Weather Loño ran back to his position shaking his head. Romero Lagrana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leoverliz Jares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 62 minute of play. Pablo Bazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xuban Peiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romero Lagrana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xuban Peiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Sandoval's Weather Loño got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Ayoví Besosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sandoval booed when UD Deseo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garrido Cascos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romero Lagrana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leoverliz Jares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Weather Loño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romero Lagrana having to interfere. Leoverliz Jares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romero Lagrana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leoverliz Jares in the 88th minute of the match. After 89 minutes of play UD Deseo's Nando Soba was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, UD Deseo's Nando Soba got a free kick in the 89th minute. Romero Lagrana was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dani Yanez. Sandoval's Leoverliz Jares got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Weather Loño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
