In the 5th minute, Hector Piñeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If James Mioño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. Mache's players were relieved. Michael Gonzales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Mioño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Pola kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Luzuriaga Gorron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Michael Gonzales. Marcabeli's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 87th minute, one of Mache:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mache. James Mioño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michael Gonzales having to make a save. 97 minutes into the game, James Mioño recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michael Gonzales. James Mioño showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2.
