The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rodriguez Llorengoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esterilla Villarprego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ignacio Pesquera charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio Pesquera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sdcay FC's Ignacio Pesquera got a free kick in the 9th minute. Atocha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Esterilla Villarprego scored to the left of an out of position Rodriguez Llorengoz, making the score, 1-0. Rodríguez Besteo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Rocio Olivan suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Sdcay FC's Guillermo Torrecillas got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sdcay FC's zone, Roberto Marroquin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xanti Revenga came out of the goal and Roberto Marroquin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esterilla Villarprego kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Atocha getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Roberto Marroquin hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nunez Almeida was the one to do the kick off. Xanti Revenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nunez Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Esterilla Villarprego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Rodriguez Llorengoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguez Llorengoz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Pesquera went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Esterilla Villarprego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguez Llorengoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esterilla Villarprego in the 78th minute of play. Atocha's Nunez Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atocha's Rodriguez Llorengoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esterilla Villarprego in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Sdcay FC booed when Atocha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zunbeltz Sarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Pesquera in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodriguez Llorengoz saved Atocha from getting behind. The supporters of Sdcay FC booed when Atocha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Marroquin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Atocha's Mercado Alcedo got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Atocha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sdcay FC.
