Haya SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Emanuel Barzurqueta 8 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Cesar Jacolet charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesar Jacolet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, UD Zapotal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Jacolet to maneuver through the defense. Zornin Luan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xofre Guereño's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute Xofre Guereño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zornin Luan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xofre Guereño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Xofre Guereño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UD Zapotal's Zornin Luan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Cubian in the 35th minute of play. Genaro Carrasco made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when John Carneiro sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Haya SC defense, John Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Carrasco. The Haya SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Carrasco should have stopped the shot. Haya SC's Xofre Guereño got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xofre Guereño was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, John Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UD Zapotal's John Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes in the game, Jesus Cubian fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Zornin Luan having to interfere. Emanuel Barzurqueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Haya SC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elkin Mallavia hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Xofre Guereño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haya SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xofre Guereño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Carneiro in the 92nd minute of play forced Haya SC's goalkeeper Genaro Carrasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moisés Garzon charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moisés Garzon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Moisés Garzon hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The corner led UD Zapotal's Torres Mulas to fire away a dangerous shot which Genaro Carrasco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The UD Zapotal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Haya SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
